NOTICE that some dates on the Mid-West schedule are still a work in progress. We will announce those as soon as we can. If you wish to keep your old number (or request a different one) your application must be received in our office by 5:00pm Central Time on January 6, 2011. 2010 NATIONAL CHAMPIONS CROWNED Congratulations to all of our 2010 National Champions!
CORNER MARSHALL WINS THE BUELL The drawing for the "Air Fence" Andy Buell Raffle to benefit the Roadracing World Action Fund was held during the riders' meeting on Saturday, October 16th, at our CCS Race of Champions at Homestead-Miami Speedway. And the Winner is ... Bob has been a valued member of our Safety Crew for many years. He was thrilled to hear the news that he won the bike. Click here for pictures. HOMESTEAD RACE OF CHAMPIONS ANNOUNCEMENTS October 11, 2010 - The Championship Cup Series has issued some important announcements regarding their Race of Champions event this weekend at the Homestead-Miami Speedway.
SEPT 4-5 EVENT AT HEARTLAND PARK CANCELLED Heartland Park Topeka track personnel have confirmed with CCS officials that their race event scheduled for Sept. 4-5, 2010, has been cancelled for economic reasons. Racers who pre-entered this Heartland Park event should contact the CCS office ASAP by email (info@ccsracing.us) or phone (817-246-1127) concerning their pre-entry fees. UPDATE (Aug 25) Fort Worth, TX – The Championship Cup Series would like to announce the the final points race for the Great Plains Championship Series will be moved to the September 25-26 event at Blackhawk Farms Raceway as a result of the cancellation of the final round at Heartland Park-Topeka. "We hope that by making the decision quickly and getting the announcement out there that it will enable all our racers in the Great Plains Championship to alter their plans accordingly." stated Kevin Elliott, Director of Operations for ASRA/CCS. "As soon as we got the word from Heartland Park management, we were in contact with the racers who had planned to be at that event to see what they wanted to do. The riders we contacted overwhelmingly requested the chance to have their final race of the season. even if it meant sharing the spotlight with the CCS Mid-West Championships at Blackhawk Farms Raceway." Blackhawk 9/25-26 will be Double Points for both Great Plains and Mid West riders. Changes to Upcoming CCS Raceday Schedules at Blackhawk Farms August 5, 2010, Fort Worth, Texas - The Championship Cup Series would like to announce changes to upcoming races at Blackhawk Farms Raceway scheduled for August 21-22, 2010 and September 25-26, 2010. With permission from Blackhawk Farms Raceway, the schedule has been changed to move the traditional Test-N-Tune from Friday to Saturday with all Championship Cup Series events to take place on Sunday. The mounting pressure of the current economic situation has forced CCS and Blackhawk Farms to accept this change in an effort to keep both programs viable through the recession. Those entrants who have pre-entered based on the three day event schedule will be given special consideration to modify their registration until August 13, 2010 at 5:00pm Central Time. For the revised schedule of events, please go to http://www.ccsracing.us/venues/blackhawk.html and click on the event schedule for the appropriate date. - To sign up for Saturday's Test-N-Tune Click Here - New Jersey Postponed Races to Run at Summit Point The Schedule for Summit Point August 28-29 has been revised to include the 5 races which were postponed at New Jersey due to weather conditions. Grids posted at New Jersey for these races will be used. No additional entries can be accepted. Blackhawk Farms to Host 1st Annual Corn Roast July 22, 2010, South Beloit, IL – Blackhawk Farms Raceway is proud to announce its 1st Annual Corn Roast on Saturday July 24. This special event is a way for Blackhawk Farms Raceway to thank all the Championship Cup Series racers, crew and their families for all the support they have shown. Following the CCS Mid-West racing activities, Blackhawk Farms will open the Finish Line with evening specials of $1.00 ears of corn and glasses of Specialty Beer for just $2.50. Also in the works is the 1st Corn Shucking Contest open to all ages, just to make sure that there is fun for all at the 1st Annual Corn Roast. With 12 Championship Cup Series motorcycle road races starting at Noon, the 1st Annual Blackhawk Farms Corn Roast truly has something for everyone in the family So come one and all for a great time this Saturday at Blackhawk Farms Raceway. Blackhawk Farms Raceway is a 1.95 mile, 7 turn private circuit racetrack located at 15538 Prairie Road in South Beloit, Illinois . The track sits on 216 acres on the border between Wisconsin and Illinois, within 90 miles o f 2 major metropolitan areas; including Chicago and Milwaukee, just minutes from interstate 90. The Championship Cup Series is the largest amateur motorcycle road racing organization in the United States with 4,000 licensed riders. The CCS Series will run 51 events at popular tracks around the United States for 2010. In 2010 ASRA and CCS provide riders with access to nearly $10,000,000 in sponsorship awards through participation in its sanctioned events. Daytona Makes Changes To Staging Areas Daytona International Speedway has advised us of some important changes to where you must park for your first trip to Registration, so everyone please take note! Per email received from Daytona today (2/18): This only effects the Staging Area - our Registration is in the same location. On the below map, drive in where it says "Gate 32 Entrance". After parking, it is a short walk to Registration. Note that the CCS portion of the Schedule on this map is wrong. Use our official Tentative Schedule instead. ATTENTION MidWest & Great Plains riders!
Win a brand new, red 2009 Buell 1125CR during the "Air Fence Andy Buell Raffle" taking place this racing season. All proceeds from the raffle will go to the Roadracing World Action Fund. Checks or money orders should be made payable to Roadracing World Action Fund with the words "Buell Raffle" on the Memo/For line. Each ticket is $100 and only 200 will be sold. The winning ticket will be drawn at the Daytona CCS/ASRA Race of Champions in October 2010 - or earlier when all 200 tickets have sold. You need not be present to win! Winner will be notified by phone. To enter the raffle, send a check or money order to the below address and enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope. Be sure and include your name, complete address and telephone number inside. Ticket stubs will be mailed to you.
