12.27.06 > SOUTHWEST 2006 REGION BANQUET NEWS <

Per the Dec. 22nd announcement on the RoadRace SouthWest web site, the 2006 SW Region Championship Awards Banquet will take place on January 20th at the Park Plaza Hotel in Chandler, Arizona.

"The 2006 end of season awards banquet will take place on the evening of January 20th 2007. The banquet will be from 7pm until 12am, and will be held at the Park Plaza Hotel. Any CCS Racer who competed in at least one race during the 2006 season will be allowed to attend, and may also bring with them one guest free of charge. Any additional guests you bring will be $10 each. The banquet will have an open style buffet provided, and will also feature a live band. The dress code will be informal or casual wear. If you have any questions about the banquet, please contact myself or John Jewett. I'd also like to thank Mark Weiss for his help in arranging the function. Let's see out the 2006 season with a bang, and let's have some fun."

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

As 2006 winds down, we are pleased to post the new 2007 CCS/ASRA Road Race Rules & Regulations rulebook for download from our forms page. Since all new rules become effective January 1, 2007, you are encouraged to download and read it now, especially if you plan to attend Firebird or Homestead races.

We have successfully negotiated Discount Room Rates for this spring's Daytona event with StudioPLUS Deluxe Studios and for all New Hampshire International Speedway events at the Red Roof Loudon. Blocks of rooms are being held in our name, so act early to take advantage of these opportunities. Follow the highlighted links to learn more.

TrackAddix is setting up deals for Mid-America, Gateway, Hastings, Hallett, and Iowa Speedway. Correction - Just Confirmed! Barber & Firebird were finalized late this evening.

Our office will close for the Holidays at 5pm on December 20th and will reopen on January 3rd at 8am (central). Phone messages will be checked only occasionally, but we will continue to process mail and faxes as they come in.

The CCS office received the paperwork from both Bridgestone and Hotbodies Racing Bodywork today confirming 2007 payouts at both CCS and ASRA events! Stay tuned for specifics about requirements and payout amounts.

The Region Banquet pages have been updated with the names of all trophy winners. View them here: Florida Banquet - SouthWest Banquet. More details will be posted about these banquets as soon as they are known.

Note: If you have earned awards in multiple regions and will only be attending one of the banquets, please notify us 2 weeks prior to the event by phone, fax or email. We can have all your awards at the banquet you attend. Otherwise, awards will be at the first race for the region and available for shipping after that.

12.08.06 > 2007 GREAT PLAINS SCHEDULE UPDATE & 2006 REGION BANQUET INFO <

In a newsletter released today, TrackAddix Great Plains owner Dean Rumfola outlines the details of the region's 2007 schedule. The August event at Hallett has been marked for Double Points and the September Hastings round will be a Twin Sprints weekend. September 15-16 at Iowa Speedway has been added to the 2007 tentative schedule of events.

The 2006 GP Region Banquet will take place on January 20th at Cinzetti's restaurant in Overland Park, Kansas. The cost of $22.00 per person includes a meal, soft drink or tea and desert, tax & tip. You can read the full newsletter here.

12.07.06 > 2007 SOUTHWEST SCHEDULE CHANGES <

Jack Frost, new owner of Affiliate Region RoadRace SouthWest, has announced that no races will be held at Las Vegas or Arroyo Seco in 2007. All rounds will take place at Firebird International Raceway. The January and December weekends have been designated as Double Points events. The April and October rounds are scheduled to be Twin Sprints weekends. ..Read More

Following the release of the 2007 License Renewal Mailer, we have posted Tentative Event Schedules for 2007 in chronological order as well as a New, Printable 2007 Calendar.

All dates are tentative and subject to change. We hope to have the schedule finalized by mid-December, if not sooner.
